CellularAccessory.com tells you the differnce between a 2.5mm and a 3.5mm Headset

The difference between a 2.5mm Headset and a 3.5mm Headset is very simple.

The 2.5mm Headset is a smaller diameter and mainly supports Mono Audio for Cell Phones, 2 Way radios and home phones. A stereo Version is available in a 2.5mm connection but is not used on many phone models.

The 3.5mm Headsets are Stereo and are the preferred connection for all MP3 players, iPods, Music Enabled Cell Phones, and car Stereo AUX ports.
The 3.5mm is available in Mono, but the preferred versions are Stereo.

How do you tell the difference between the 2.5mm and the 3.5mm?
Well to the layman it is difficult. If you know your Cell Phone Make and Model Number we offer the information in the Hands Free section of that Cell Phone Model. Simply search for it on our site CellularAccessory.com
Another easy way is to take the headphones from your MP3 player or CD player and plug it into your cell phone. If it fits your phone is a 3.5mm Headset. If it is to big, your phone is a 2.5mm Headset connection.
